A great deal happens to you before you’ve had much say in it, and then, as an adult, you can’t shake your ways of experiencing yourself, others, or the nature of things. You may still be doing jobs you gave yourself long ago. Understanding where a problem came from is the first stop, not the cure. Change is usually gradual. It sneaks up. It requires a lot of practice, ongoing curiosity, and clarity in order for new ways of being to coalesce.
I have seen dozens of people over the years free themselves of falseness, loneliness (including loneliness in the presence of others), and a wasteful resistance to grief. Becoming more familiar with and testing the limits of your old orientations is what I try to help you do. This work can help you find purpose, and also become the kind of person who can do things on purpose. In the end, I try to help you emerge more sturdy and kind, and harder to knock over, so you can stop analyzing yourself and go live, and also love how you live.
